Shari

As most of you are aware , Shari and Fred were in a horrible car accident. She is hospitalized with major injuries, in a hard Body frame that is helping to stabilize her so the fractures in her neck and shoulders can heal.  The device is wrapped around her body and begins at her waist and goes all the way to up under her lower lip. It makes it difficult to pronounce her words but she is very determined and trying hard to mend, knowing she has many days ahead of her that will be filled with physical theraphy.  When Sam was very ill, Shari begged on the Family Blog for people to send him cards  of encouragement. You will never know just how good it made him  feel to  know that people in the Lawson Family cared about the horribe S—, he was going through. He recieved Cards, letters , phone calls and Gifts. It was so special and gave our hearts Hope!!! Some of you were extremely generous and I will forever be gratefull.  Now, it is Shari’s turn.  Please send her some kind of encouragement. It takes very little time out of your day to do something special for those who need it.  After all, you never know when it might be you who needs some cheering up.   Love you, all  Carol

Matriarch of Meadowlark

I guess that i am the matriarch of Meadowlark so decided to get with the new generation and blog! It probably won’t be as exciting as the rest of your blogs because I have a pretty mundane life!!  I spend a great deal of my time working in the Meadowlark yard, trying to keep it as beautiful as Sam did.  What a chore, but I love the outdoors (you get it from me , Renee- I don’t look a day over 70.) Tending the garden(oh, the joy of  a tasty homegrown tomato!)  and of course, all the hundreds of beautiful flowers (what  a marvelous gift God has given to us to enjoy in the form of a flower. It certainly is a masterpiece of nature.  I also spend several hours each week designing and creating note cards that I stamp and add various embellishments. They are given out at Molly’s Angels annual Christmas Party every December. I make over 1800 cards each year so it is an all year project.  Making the cards is a artistic and fun way to spend my retirement years, as well as doing a little something for others.  I have just recently signed up to volunteer at the Napa Food Bank by helping to sort, package and distribute food to people in need. Will have my interview next week.  Well, I must sign off now and see if I can figure out how to get this posted.  Hope I did everything right!!!
